Jackson Vugayabagabo
We are excited to announce that we've chosen Jackson Vugayabagabo as our first ORI Student of the Month!
It is a pleasure to celebrate the achievements of Jackson, whose investment in youth community development projects inspires his supervisors and classmates alike. In addition to being the top ORI scorer for the 2008 academic year at the Universite Libre de Kigali (ULK), Jackson is very motivated to achieve his professional goals. He currently holds two internships - one with Project Healthy Children and one with Miracle Corners of Rwanda - and he also completed an internship in Kenya last December. Moreover, he volunteered as the ULK University Representative to the Student Government Association, and he works tirelessly - outside of class - to improve his English skills, even though he is already an advanced English speaker.
Jackson is working very hard to become the leader that we know he can be. His internship coordinator at Miracle Corners of Rwanda, Cesar Francia, affirms that Jackson strengthens the team with his natural charisma, superb interpersonal skills, positive energy and unmatched determination to empower those around him. When asked to comment on Jackson's future potential, Cesar replied, "I am confident in Jackson's ability to become a leader due to the clarity he exhibits in envisioning his future, his motivation and work ethic. Jackson is quite an extraordinary young man, and we are fortunate to have him on the team." The ORI team joins Cesar in congratulating Jackson, and wishing him much luck in his future endeavors!
